The Art, Science &
Spirit of Hydrotherapy


Focusing on the therapeutic benefits of hot and cold applications, the mechanical and biochemical principles of water, and the influence of temperature on the circulatory system, ASTECC founder Anne Bramham will host a five day Hydrotherapy Training at the Toskana Therme in Bad Sulza, in September, 2011.

Practical training will include instruction in Sauna, Steam, Whirlpool, Cold Contrast, Vichy Shower, Compress Applications and basic tub treatments.

An idyllic spa and wine town in the heart of Germany's "Tuscany of the East", Toskana Therme is built on natural salt-water springs. Reflex Therapies & Dr. Vodder MLD Scheduled for Fall Ft Lauderdale IECSE

On November 6-7, 2010, ASTECC will offer a 3 part, 6 CE hour NCBTMB approved 'Reflex Therapy' series and a 5 CE hour NCBTMB 'Introduction to Dr. Vodder's MLD' at the IECSC in Ft. Lauderdale. ASTECC instructors Anne Brown, Leah Carver and Anne Bramham will present. The program includes:

Introduction to Dr. Vodder's Manual Lymph Drainage
Concentrating on the specific use of manual lymph drainage in leisure, esthetic and medical spa settings, this 5 hour NCBTMB approved interactive workshop introduces students to the physiology of the lymph vessel system and Dr. Vodder's basic treatment techniques.

Aroma - Reflex: The Language of Body & Mind
Drawing from oriental face reading diagnosis and body reflex analysis this subtle, light touch rejuvenating therapy explores the connection between body and mind. Approved by NCBTMB, the 2 hour workshop provides instruction in the application of 'constitutional' oils and Aroma-Reflex facial techniques.

Connective Tissue & Rejuvenation
Particularly suited for the treatment of common circulatory related problems such as rosecea, fluid retention, celluite and spider veins, Connective Tissue is the ideal rejuvenating tool for estheticians and spa practitioners. Practical training focuses on analysis and treatment skills and includes instruction in popular Connective Tissue facial techniques. The 2 hour workshop is approved by NCBTMB.

The Art of Esthetic Hydrotherapy
Focusing on the dramatic rejuvenating effects of 'simple to do' Hydrotherapy techniques, this 2 hour NCBTMB approved workshop explores the influence of temperature on the circulatory system and the therapeutic benefits of hot and cold applications. Practical training includes detailed instruction in hot and cold facial compresses.
